If you’ve decided that you’re going to go ahead and hire a skip, then you’re going to want an easy-to-use guide to skip service pricing – so you can easily see how much it’s going to cost you. That’s what we’re here for.
Deciding which waste clearance service is best for you and where to get it from is rarely an easy feat. That’s because there’s a whole range of different services – and an even larger range of waste collection specialists offering them.
We’ve got you covered.
Where are you?
If you make a waste collection enquiry with Skip It, you’ll find a map of London and the surrounding areas divided into three main categories: zones 1-3.
Zone 1 comprises much of North, West, South West and most of Central London. These areas are easiest for us to access, and generally have the lowest skip service pricing.
Zone 2 includes some of the City of London, and parts of the London boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lambeth and Wandsworth. These are our medium skip hire pricing areas.
Zone 3 includes much of East and South East London, as well as Croydon and Dartford. These areas are the furthest away from our waste clearance services, and thus command higher prices.
We are able to provide skip hire and waste clearance services to some customers outside these zones – but the skip service pricing will be settled on an individual quote-by-quote basis.
Contact us for a bespoke quote if your home or business lies outside of this area.
Our skip service pricing
Our skip service pricing options are staggered by size as well as area. Smaller skips are understandably cheaper than their larger counterparts. We offer four different skip sizes: 6 yard, 8 yard, 10 yard and 12 yard, holding around 40, 60, 80 or 100 black bags worth of waste, respectively.
With all our skips, we charge the same rates for household waste clearance and business waste collection services.
Here’s a look at how our skip service pricing options change depending on the area and skip size.

Of course, these prices are by no means final – and there’s a good chance your quote will change depending on the individual circumstances of your waste clearance service. Old furniture collection, for example, such as mattresses and fridge freezers often come with a surcharge. These prices should however give you a good idea of where to start
